Nicholas Sears is a trial attorney that specializes in real estate litigation, construction litigation, and business litigation.  Mr. Sears’ real estate litigation practice involves representing developers, builders, real estate investors, and property owners in actions involving banking, lender liability, foreclosure, receivership, specific performance, suit on note, title disputes, boundary line disputes, easements, prescriptive title, ejectment, commercial landlord/tenant, zoning, and tax appeals.  Mr. Sears’ construction litigation practice involves representing general contractors, subcontractors, builders, and property owners in actions involving negligent construction, breach of contract, delay damages, warranty, defective materials, lien foreclosure, and bond suits.  Mr. Sears’ business litigation practice involves representing companies, partners, shareholders, and officers in partnership/shareholder disputes, trade secret disputes, breach of fiduciary duty, conversion, fraud, RICO, SEC investigations, FINRA disputes, and restrictive covenants. 

Before joining Knight Palmer, Mr. Sears clerked for the Honorable Judge John J. Goger in the Superior Court of Fulton County.  After graduating from University of Georgia with cum laude honors, Mr. Sears attended Emory University School of law where he was a managing editor for the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal.
