W. Lawton Jordan is an attorney who focuses his practice on real estate, construction, and general business litigation. In his real estate practice, Mr. Jordan represents business owners, developers, commercial and private property owners, and investors in a multitude of actions involving title disputes, lender liability, foreclosure, suit on note, specific performance, nuisance and trespass, easements, ejectment, commercial landlord-tenant disputes, zoning and land use, and ad valorem tax appeals. Mr. Jordan’s construction litigation practice consists of representing developers, general contractors, subcontractors, builders, and property owners in matters involving construction and material defects, materialman’s liens, breach of contract, and surety bond suits. In his general business litigation practice, Mr. Jordan represents individuals, business owners, partners, corporate directors/officers, and shareholders, in matters involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, derivative suits, partnership divorces, trade secrets and restrictive covenants. 

Prior to joining Knight Palmer, Mr. Jordan obtained his undergraduate degree from University of Georgia and went on to earn his law degree from Emory University School of Law. Before and during law school, Mr. Jordan served as a law clerk at Schreeder, Wheeler and Flint. Mr. Jordan also served as a summer law clerk for The Honorable Robert E. Flournoy, III of the Superior Court of Cobb County. 

A native Georgian, Mr. Jordan grew up in Marietta, Georgia and now resides in Morningside with his wife, Catherine, and their daughter, Margaret. Outside of the law, Mr. Jordan is an avid golfer and outdoorsman who enjoys fly fishing and hunting.
