Ellis H.P. Schmitt is an associate attorney who focuses his practice on commercial litigation, construction litigation, real estate litigation, and business litigation.
Prior to joining Knight Palmer, Mr. Schmitt obtained his undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University and went on to earn his law degree from University of Georgia School of Law. Mr. Schmitt competed in the Phillip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition where he placed as a top 10 oralist in both the National and International rounds. Mr. Schmitt also served on the editorial board of Journal of Intellectual Property Law.
During law school, Mr. Schmitt worked as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Judge Christopher Yokom. Mr. Schmitt also spent a year with the Wilbank’s CEASE clinic representing clients in civil suits.
Mr. Schmitt grew up outside Atlanta and lived in North Carolina and Athens prior to moving to Atlanta. Outside of the law, Mr. Schmitt is an avid reader and cinephile.
